Step 1 supplying the power
Plug the AC power supply into the wall outlet and then plug the other end of the power supply the Xbox One specific adapter that is shown in the picture into the rear of the console. This supplies the console with the 70-120 watts of power that is required for the console to operate and play games. |
Step 2 Outputting video
To get the console to output HD quality video you must use a HDMI cable to connect the Xbox One to the HD television. Take ether end of the cable included with the Xbox One console and plug the HDMI lead into the consoles HDMI port as seen in the picture make sure that the HDMI lead is connected to the HDMI out and not the HDMI in the HDMI out is the output to the TV and the HDMI in is for inputting a device into the console. Then connect the other end of the HDMI lead into the televisions HDMI port. |
Step 3 network connection
The Xbox One can connect to the internet ether Wirelessly connecting to your household router or connected to the router using an ethernet cable. firstly find an ethernet cable that is long enough to connect the Xbox One to the router then connect either end of the cable into the ethernet port on the back of the console, as shown in the picture then connect the other end of the cable into the router using a ethernet port on the router. |
Step 4 Controller setup
To setup the controller push the Xbox home button located in the middle of the controller when its pushed the button will flash white meaning it isn't paired to the console. To pair to the console push the long sliver button located on the side of the console as seen in the picture and at the same time push the small button located on the front of the controller then the two will pair. |
Step 6 game installing
because of the size of the games for current generation consoles the games must be downloaded to the consoles Hard Drive so they can run smoothly so when you insert a disk into the console the game is installed using information on the disc so the games can be played although if you installed the game off a disc then in order to play that game the disc must be in the console. Another way of getting games on the console is to download the games digitally using the Xbox live marketplace this means that the game is installed onto the hard drive and doesn't require a physical copy the game can be accessed regardless of what disc is in the console. |
